A compilation album of the highest merit featuring numerous Stiff luminaries, a few Stiff gunslingers and a couple of Stiff stiffs. Some of the cuts here have been reissued on CD, but a few have been shelved for years (Takeaways, Magic Michael or the defintive version of "Young Lords" that can be found only on this first Stiff compilation. Finally , the "mystery guest"  is actually C.P Lee of Alberto Y Lost Trios Paranoias on vocals backed by Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Sean Tyla & Larry Wallis for the Takeaways' cut.
