DIRTY ANGELS - KISS TOMORROW GOODBYE (1976)
Boston’s Dirty Angels were a truly marvelous Stonesy guitar band who played upbeat, driving pop to the obvious delight of very few. No one remembers these guys it seems. After a brief stay at Sire Records for a single "Rock "n"Roll Love Letter" which failed, the band was dropped and signed by Private Stock, Richard Gottehrer was hired to produce the first album "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye". The lead-off track and first single, ’Tell Me’ - with its ascending chorus and Telecaster riffing, seemingly tailor-made for a Greg Shaw end-of-year list.
The album is available on various streaming sites but is lossy mastered with a DR9. So, the only lossless version is the one shared below.
