CLOVIS ROBLAINE - THE CLOVIS ROBLAINE STORY (1979)
Ranked #112 in the first edition of the Power Pop Guide, the album goes to #133 in the 2018 edition. Clovis Roblaine, whose real name was Dennis Meehan (Clovis ROBLAIN was the first heart transplant patient having undergone an operation carried out in France 1968 - hence the original artwork). His album is a pop masterpiece, sort of Anglophile pop drawing on pop music from the late 50s (somewhat wall-of-sound obsessive) up to till the late 70's powerpop. This is one of the more obscure power pop albums of its time - only 500 copies were pressed. In 2008, the album was finally remastered and reissued with 6 bonus tracks and a vastly inferior picture sleeve. This is the original mix with the original artwork.
