MATERIAL ISSUE - TELECOMMANDO AMERICANO (1997)
Hailing from Chicago (Illinois), the story of Material Issue (Jim Ellison, Ted Ansani and Mike Zelenko) came to a tragic end in June 1996 when lead singer and guitarist Jim Ellison committed suicide.
Their first album "International Pop Overthrow" gave the name to the famous annual festival and therefore the IPO compilations featuring artists of the genre.
"Telecommando Americano", Material Issue’s fourth studio album, was completed early in 1996, but it was released after Jim Ellison took his life.

The CD adds the rare Material Issue’s first recording, a 6-song EP that initially appeared on Big Block Records in 1987 (also home of the band 92 Degrees). For info, this is the only Material Issue album not available on streaming sites.
