THE PLIMSOULS - LIVE AT THE PALACE, HOLLYWOOD '85 (2012)

 

A previously unavailable, 21-song live recording (probably just before the first break-up) from 1985 by the Plimsouls. Recorded at The Palace, in Hollywood CA, this special recording finds the band not only plundering through their back catalog, but performing some songs ( "Twisted Friend", "Just Like That") that never made it onto any Plimsouls release. The band performs some songs that will be released later as Peter Case "I Shook His Hand", "More Than Curious" or "Who's Gonna Break The Ice". And, they also do some very cool covers of "Glory (Television)", "My Lonely Sad Eyes (Them)", "Fall On You (Moby Grape)", "Jumping From Love To Love (Dr Feelgood)", and "Jumpin' In The Night (Flamin' Groovies)". And they're joined on this performance by Gurf Morlix on pedal steel and background vocals - giving the band a sound and feel never heard before.
