recorded like it could have been recorded in 1962 with authentic
equipment, soundboards, amplifiers, etc...

Great album and thanks for sharing. Not sure I can agree that its pre 'Mersey Sound' as much of it sounds to me like a homage to albums like 'Please Please Me','With The Beatles'and 'Hard Days Night even to the point of similarities with Lennon's vocal delivery in some parts. More than half the songs are 'Beatlesque' in my view. Mixed in with it is a bit of Cilla/ Sandie /Petula, Brian Poole, Freddie & The Dreamers and a diversion into Ye-Ye thrown in for good measure.
Equally I can see the comparisons with Billy J Kramer as Lennon & McCartney wrote 5 of his first 6 singles. To me this is as much 1963 to 1966 as anything else.
I have this on CD, and the packaging and liner notes are part of the homage to the period. A number of the performers are Atlanta locals, who Tim and Rob probably knew from the days of their duo, Thing 1 Thing 2.
